    As you understood above, its opposite meaning is that of lower circuit. That means, when there is some bad news in a stock or there is a bad update, then there is more selling than buying in that stock.

        The meaning of Lower Circuit is that there are more sellers than buyers in that stock. Due to which there is a huge fall in that stock. When all the sellers are present in a stock, then there is a lower circuit in it.
